Current Events > Just did my 4th completion speedrun of Rayman Legends. Results inside.

1st speedrun - about 5 hours, 30 minutes
2nd speedrun - about 4 hours, 20 minutes
3rd speedrun - possibly about 3 hours, 30 minutes (?)

4th speedrun - about 3 hours, 15 minutes

It's strange. I made quite a few mistakes, some of them very stupid, but I seem to have done my best run yet. Hard to say, because I'm not sure how fast my 3rd speedrun last year was, and that is just an approximation. I did quite a different "route", though, skipping some levels I usually do, and doing others I don't always bother with. Pretty pleased with the run, although I'm sure there's plenty of room for improvement.

Anyone ever speedrun this game? It's a lot of fun, because there are so many different ways of playing through. Of course, it's a great game, with a TON of content, much of which is very entertaining and challenging, and the worlds are pretty varied and fun.

What counts for completion here?

Beaten all 5 bosses for the regular worlds, and gotten to the credits. This will also involve getting 260+ teensies, but it's not a specific requirement, just something you do to access the bosses.

I've also done a 700 teensie speedrun, which was crazy. Took me about 12 or 13 hours. Sounds very long, but it was reasonably good. There's just a lot of content in the game, and some of it is really hard.

That's really cool actually. Rayman Legends is one of my favorite platformers, and I feel, like with Sonic, that a lot of levels are designed in a way that they can be attacked at full speed if you know what you're doing.

It's pretty good fun to speed run.

I sometimes think back to all those speedruns I did, back in about 2012 - 2014. B-K, Super Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy 1. A lot of fun. The only one I ever got REALLY good at, though, was B-K, which I could do in about 3 hours and 25 minutes, which is further than most speedrunners of that game go.

I was 2 trophies away from plat and my save got corrupted. The last cloud backup was before I completed 2 hard as balls timed levels.

I was so pissed I stopped playing.

Bruh, even after doing everything, you still have to do months of daily challenges for the plat. I'm about halfway there to the last level of Awesomeness.

It took me about 2 years to get all 700 teensies*, and about 2 and a half years to beat the game with 700 teensies and all the trophies and medals for collecting lumas. Crazy. I never did the whole 1,000,000 lumas thing, though, seemed like a real waste. I hate grinding challenges with a passion.

*Get stuck at 699 teensies for a while, because Infiltration Station Invaded was SO hard. Got there in the end, though. :)

Getting 100% of the stuff in game is really easy. Aside from a few time challenges, nothing is really that difficult. The grind to 6000 points for the plat/last achievement is stupid though.
