This topic is not what I was expecting. You can but ice and/or sugar in any tea. If you're going to ask people about their tea preferences most people will assume you're asking about what kinds of tea they enjoy.

Black, green, red, white, and herbal are all major subheadings of tea and that's just in Western Europe and the US. Tea culture is vast and varied across the known world. There are so many opinions to be had out there.

EDIT: I'm toning down some of my judge-y language because it may be a little uncalled for here.

I live in Florida, so sweet tea is the only answer.

It's funny, after Hurricane Michael it basically became impossible to get Publix sweet tea (aka best sweet tea). All the shelves stayed empty, while the unsweet rea right next to it stayed fully stocked. There were a few takers on the peach and raspberry tea.

I strongly prefer hot tea.

But for iced tea, only unsweetened. Sweet tea is disgusting, and this is coming from someone who lives in teh bible belt where that nasty shit got popular in the first place.
