Anyone else notice this? When you talk about how guns kill so many people in America they say that's not true because violent crimes between other first world countries are similar to us. Why go there? Why not look at the homicide rate instead of just "violent crime?"

Yep, it's the same thing with mass shootings as well, street violence is often lumped in making it seem worse than it is.

It is also very convenient how they bring up outliers like Japan, a country where they have giant natural disasters, but zero looting. Yet they fail to bring up the countries with the highest homicide rates in the world and their super strict gun laws, or even just looking within the US and that the city's and states with the highest murder rates all have very strict gun laws themselves. I mean Baltimore, Chicago, DC, etc.

the actual deaths via rifle (of any kind, semi or not) is somewhere around 200-300 a year in America. Which is a drop in the bucket of the total homicide.

the media is fucked beyond repair. Do your own research.

I agree that suicides at schools shouldn't be classified as mass school shootings but what's wrong with suicides being considered homocides? I'm not even looking for specific stats like suicides by guns. Just count all of them then compare. I personally believe guns are a major influence in people commiting suicides. It's way easier for people to mentally justify killing them selves with a gun vs other methods that can much long.

That's my opinion anyway
