It felt less "parody" and more "fan dub" which is fine. The last episode with Gohans SS2 transformation was awesome and better than the original.

But overall it felt like the series was taking itself too seriously towards the end there.

Was glad to hear the Buu saga episodes will be shorter and more comedic

Yeah, I feel the same way. As soon as Perfect Cell appeared, most of the humor was pretty much dropped. There are so many people that rank #60 as the best/favorite and I'm like "What? I barely even chuckled throughout that entire hour"

They've been doing it for a decade and are bored of it. They just want to do other things but DBZA is all that makes them money so they have no choice

Remember it started as just a bunch of guys messing around for fun, now it's a businsess. That's why it is less funny and more serious.

I wouldn't say that as their take on Broly was glorious. The movies never had that drop in humor.
