Wanted me to play Radiant difficulty cause it's my first time lol fuck that. I compromised and didn't turn on Crimson Court though. Named it Hobb's End and I'm heading into the tutorial dungeon but didn't take any torches. These guys are about to die aren't they

I love that game like a shark loves blood.

It's easy to get in the mindset of seeing those poor souls as expendable fodder. I take the opposite approach. I name them. Give them back stories. Learn to appreciate each of them. And then send them to their deaths.

Sometimes I mourn their untimely demise. When they don't pull a profit.

I noticed you could name them but I figured these first 4 are going to die quickly so I didn't even bother >_>

I can already tell stunning is going to be a major part of combat. Also what does the Torch + mean in battle. Is that a temporary rise in torchlight meaning less crits from enemies

It means your torchlight went up. Torchlight affects difficulty of encounters, treasure found, chance of surprise and i think some other stuff. Low torch light raises the risk and the reward, while high torch light does the opposite.

I really want to love DD, its got great atmosphere and i like the battle mechanics, but after awhile it just becomes a grind.

Yeah but I meant the battle moves like Crusader's skill gave a +24 Torch. Does that persist outside of battle

Oh wtf. That asshole crusader pocketed the treasure

I love pretty much everything about that game, except the RNG. It's OK that it actually gets more difficult to win, but hoping for a random crit and dreading that you'll eventually get hit by one too is very annoying after a while.

My pistol guy almost died thanks to a crit and my greed in wanting to explore all of the very first dungeon

Wish there was a way to run. The slow walk back in a dungeon where you have to backtrack is tedious. Fuck traps too. Almost killed my healer

What I've learned so far: Quitting out of a dungeon will really fuck up your stress level so you should just play it out. Never open locked cabinets without a key and book stacks will often fuck your stress up because apparently these guys are so fragile that a spooky story will cause them to go insane >_>

Welp first full party wipe. All noobs so whatever but I did lose my Plague Doc which makes the occultist on standby useless. Camping with insane characters is a bad idea apparently. Got to make sure and kill all those stress dealing monsters first
