My mom and her boyfriend both have kids from a previous marriage but they were already over thirty when they started their relationship. They didn't try to force us to like or accept him, but after years of knowing him and spending time with him he's family. On the flip side I know a woman who just can't live without a man and has a new boyfriend move in when she breaks up with the previous. It makes me worry for the kids. I also had a girl I worked with that wanted to date me and introduce me to her kids despite us not having seen each other for months.
