Why would you unplug it? I don't really see a point. (aside from turning off a wireless mouse, but not unplugging the dongle)

Some say unplugging a wired mouse will increase the lifespan. Especially when it has a LED light that stays on while plugged and the computer is off.

Nah. Sometimes I have to unplug it and plug it back it when my PC starts though. It occasionally gas an issue where it doesn't power up at all, but I think it may have to do with Corsair's software when it switches to my saved LED configuration

No, mice are cheap enough that it's not worth the extra hassle for me. I've got a G400 which has a red light that's always on whenever the PC is on. I bought my wireless bluetooth microsoft mouse from Staples for $7.99 on black friday last year, still going strong.
