Why would you unplug it? I don't really see a point. (aside from turning off a wireless mouse, but not unplugging the dongle)

Some say unplugging a wired mouse will increase the lifespan. Especially when it has a LED light that stays on while plugged and the computer is off.

Nah. Sometimes I have to unplug it and plug it back it when my PC starts though. It occasionally gas an issue where it doesn't power up at all, but I think it may have to do with Corsair's software when it switches to my saved LED configuration

No, mice are cheap enough that it's not worth the extra hassle for me. I've never had a mouse fail in that way, anyway, and it probably wouldn't be hard to just solder in a new LED if needed.

I don't think that's true. I've got a G400 which has a red light that's always on whenever the PC is on. I've had this mouse since 2012, andit still works great.

My last mouse cost 5 ($6.45). It's absolutely fine for everything I need it for.

I bought my wireless bluetooth microsoft mouse from Staples for $7.99 on black friday last year, still going strong.

I'm pretty sure people breaking their mice every 4 months are slamming them around when they lose a game or something.
