Honestly it's really not that bad. The bleeding stops pretty fast after the surgery. Just take your ibuprofen or whatever pain meds they give you and you'll be fine.

i guess for me it was different? i still had to keep gauze in my tooth holes, couldnt talk great, and couldnt eat solid food for a few days afterward.

From my experience of wisdom teeth, this isn't a total disaster. You'll be able to speak fine through the interview by then, only issue is you'll be zonked on painkillers the day before so you'll need to get all your prep done way in advance.

How many impacted teeth do you have? I only had one and that was the only minor inconvenience.

Just explain to the interviewers you had your wisdom teeth removed 2 days prior, please excuse any lasting effects. If they're halfway decent people it shouldn't matter.

TC, you must have a low pain threshhold.

Wisdom teeth removal is terrible for some people, but it wasn't that bad for me. I only needed ibuprofen, and I was pretty much fine after a week.

just one, already had two taken out a month and a half ago. didn't really have pain per se (all i got/took was ibuprofen) but my jaw felt like it was rattling apart whenever i moved it for the first few days and speaking at all was rough

youll be fine. the worst days are the immediate day after. past that, you're fine.

i got mine out back in like 2005 or so. i remember the day of and the day after all i could think about is the pain, so i just played warcraft 3 nonstop to forget it.

Although the aftersores were annoying, after the extraction the thing that bothered me more than anything was the anesthetic. Honestly, I can't remember ever feeling more lethargic than that day. Didn't feel like eating, gaming, sleeping, or anything. I just wanted to feel clear headed again.

While you may suffer that effect, it should be well over by the time you have that interview.
Try to find the right balance in painkillers if you need them: you don't want to be in agony during that interview, but you also don't want your mind to be all clouded.
