Like why not just advertise it as having those overclocked specs? Some manufacturers even have their own overclock software...what is the point?

I overclocked a computer around a decade ago.
I got around 10 more FPS out of my system during games. I had to run the thing with the floppy drive removed though to keep it from frying. Increased air flow. --- You know how fads are. Overclocking increases heat so you have to set it up to accommodate that.
