i didnt care for the first episode
i mean there were parts that i had me thinking this could be a good show if given time. scenes like the 3 sister watching videos of their dead mom were fine and the episode needed more of those bonding moments cause those were actually good scenes.

the 3 sisters overall werent as memorable as the original charmed ones. maybe its cause none of them are as good of actors as the original trio.
the episode was a bit too preachy and didnt handle its subject matter in a decent way. you can have a feminist message without beating the audience over the head with it. its called subtly writers. something the plot lacked.

and of course the original trio had to figure out their powers and origin on their own so it kind of contradicts the message this episode tried to send by having a man explain their powers and origin to them which woudnt have been a big deal had the show not made such a big deal about it even complaining that a man was the new gender studies professor at the university

overall there are bits and pieces that make me think this show could be good. but overall i wasnt a fan
the original charmed pilot was leagues better
and as cheesy as it is i want them to use english rhymes for the spells rather than latin

the villain was lame
the original chamed ones had a much better starter villain to go up against with a personal connection to one of the sisters

this is just some guy who was accused of sexual harassment who turned out to be a demon who feeds off of strong women and has ice powers for some reason and is made out of really bad CGI
