Shan-Yu got hit by a rocket and carried into a building filled with fireworks which exploded.

Gaston fell to his death in a deep ravine.

Syndrome got sucked into a turbine engine.

Frollo fell into a lake of fire.

Hopper's was pretty brutal getting eaten alive by birds. He also buried one of his minions alive.

I'll throw another one in here, the Queen from Snow White. Falls off a cliff (iirc the boulder she was trying to move then falls on her, offscreen) and then the vultures excitedly swoop down to feast on her bloodied corpse.

The Little Mermaid

The Sea Witch is skewered on the broken mast of a ship. When the ship hits, you feel the weight of it. Given the Sea Witch's large figure, and the mast sticking out of her back, you really get a sense for all of the entrails being pushed and punctured.

Everyone's hitting the obvious ones, so I'll toss in King Candy. He was hypnotized into walking straight to his death, while fully aware he was about to die.

The reason why the correct answer is Tarzan because some of these deaths are so outlandish that despite being dark, still remain acceptable within the confines of a kid's movie, but Tarzan had Clayton literally get himself hanged by vines and they show his hanged silhouette with a broken neck which is all kinds of dark and awful for a kid's movie because it's not outlandish like falling into a lake of lava because a gargoyle statue in a cathedral magically came alive. It's just... it's too realistic and something that can actually happen, compared to a giant sea witch being stabbed by the sharp end of a boat and then dying while electricity courses through her.

But they're all pretty dark. It's a meh movie but some people felt dr facilitate's death in princess frog was pretty bad with his being dragged to hell or something by spirits. Kinda similar to anastasia's version of rasputin actually, and maybe hades,
