This isn't the Jim Crow law of the modern era. Period.

Do you have a reason, or just a meme video?

Jim Crow laws were state and local laws enforcing racial segregation in the Southern United States.

Jim Crow laws mandated racial segregation in all public facilities.

As a body of law, Jim Crow institutionalized economic, educational, and social disadvantages for African Americans.

This shitty policy (that I'm not sure I even agree with) wasn't put in place to enforce racial segregation. It isn't a policy that disadvantages someone because they are black.

I may have asked you this before (or some other people on this board), but what do you think happened to all the racist politicians after 1968? Do you think they just vanished into thin air, or do you think they were clever enough to come up with racist policies that didn't outwardly mention race?

No, they still mention race. They just disguise it as being for the race's benefit, rather than to disadvantage them, while having a very noticable detrimental effect once you look past the law themself. And it's the same party passing those laws now that it was back then.

Jim Crow laws were repealed (outlawed) in 1964.

And in 1965:

I'd be fine with challenging the policy on the basis that it's too far-reaching and restrictive (if that's actually the case).

Yet you spent the topic making the discussion about racism. Maybe don't deflect away from the problem of preventing people from voting and people would believe your statement.

You'd have to demonstrate how this policy unfairly targets black people.

Idk what to tell you bud. But the article does say 70% of the people affected were black. Which was the first thing you posted about.

It seems to me that you have a problem with black people and are just trying to project now.
