I have an old Panasonic toughbook from 2007 with 2 Gb of RAM and running Windows 7 and that computer was snappier than my main five year old laptop with 4 Gb of RAM running Windows 10. Maybe its because it is a simpler system that hasnt become bloated with unused software and unnecessary updates, etc. --- I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this who will count the votes, and how. ... so I noticed the hdd would click occasionally and hang while seeking, so I put a new one in. I was going to put xp back on it, but thought about it and put 10 on.
got that done and windows gave me a generic video driver that only went up to 1600x1200 resolution, which made everything stupid fuzzy. eventually I forced it to recognize the actual video adapter and got back to proper 1900x1200 resolution now I'm currently downloading all the windows 10 thousands of updates --- i can't breathe much less believe ...
