You know what the worst part is? All the spinoffs, like those endless books. I sometimes think franchises make their biggest money off the multitude of books. Star Wars, Star Trek, stuff like that. They just farm out the actual writing to various hacks, check it over, slap the name of the franchise on the front cover, then a bunch of zombies go out and buy it.
