Then you also believe in paid child care and free health care for kids right? They are a person who cannot fend for themselves.

That is the reason you want to force women to give birth, to protect them.

You're so pro-life that you want to force a child to be born into a shitty situation, with a family that cannot take care of it, and aren't even willing to give that child the resources to get it out of that situation.

This is such a silly argument

Republicans aren't running around shooting kids

The argument that you have to be pro huge amounts of welfare, social services and various handouts to be pro-life is conflating two different issues.

Well we can start by not cutting public school funding.

Why not?

More likely because conservatives want to do dumb shit like teach kids that Moses was a founding father and try to omit people from history.

Especially when you spread blatant misinformation like many states in the South (red states) do.

Not really a coincidence that red states are the least educated.

Yes I do. In fact both my boys have state provided care, so my wife can be at home with the kids and I can make a living for them.

It's demonstrably not. With other countries as an example, we know we can do better. It's just people like you who aren't willing to make the sacrifice to make it happen. So you instead fall back on self-fulfilling prophesies and objectivist bromide.

I don't disagree that it needs fixed, but throwing money at the problem won't fix it.

All you really need to teach is:

*Knowledge of the subject
*Paper
*Printer
*Computer
*White board
*Writing utensils.
*Desks
*A room

Think about that for a moment and then think about how much money the schools get to educate. They waste a lot of it, but the problem is that their are too many rules and restrictions and mandatory processes/procedures for anyone to try differently.

Yes, just ignore the experience and centuries and social and cognitive sciences that have gone into understanding how we learn, and the importance of developing curriculum which challenge students without alienating them.

I mean that's only logical when the liberal indoctrination facilities are the ones who commission the studies.

Not alone. It's ultimately going to take a realignment and re-prioritization of our society and many of our deeply held values. But we can do it, because we've seen other societies do it.

I didn't mention anything about the methods, nor am I advocating not having a curriculum. I'm only talking about what we need to spend money on.

That curricula R&D is quite expensive and it's not getting any cheaper.

Also we definitely have cuts in education per student.

If you dont raise funding but add in 500 additional students into a school, that is effectively cuts to education.

In Canada I routinely teach classes with 30 students. Hell, in my internship my Grade 12 English class was 38 students.

We need more schools to make smaller classroom sizes because this is fucking ridiculous. In a 60 minute class, even if the entire class was work period and not instruction, I would have less than 2 minutes per student to help them.

Who are we paying to research it? And how are we qualifying the results?

Child psychologists, and post-grad academia particularly with a focus on education and real world application of theoretical pedagogy. People who do a lot of research on how we (and children in particular) learn and retain information, and develop philosophies on teaching from that.
