Someone (TC?) actually took time to do this...just so they could post it on the internet...why?

I've eaten way worse in desperate situations.

Honestly, it's probably pretty good. Other than consistency it'd be like making a french toast grilled cheese sandwich with cinnamon and sugar.

I'm actually somewhat conflicted myself; it does remind me of the Jamaican Easter delicacy "bun and cheese", which I always imagined tasting pretty good.

It probably is somewhat obscure; I'd have no idea what it was if it weren't for the internet, and I'm not sure there's any place in the cities where I could even find the spiced bun.

I'd love to try it someday, same with ackee & saltfish - though for the latter it would probably have to be in Jamaica since fresh ackee is illegal in the U.S. (I've actually seen canned ackee at some oriental food markets in town, but I feel like it wouldn't be the same... plus, where the hell am I supposed to find saltfish around here).

you should be able to find spiced bun, itll be in an obscure store somewhere. its nice, i normally eat it around christmas and easter with the fam. i dont have cheese with it but i know some people do

i havent had ackee and saltfish since i was a kid. most people i know cook it with tinned ackee, fresh ackee is hard to find if youre not in the caribbean

find yourself a caribbean to cook you all the food ;)

theres also jerk chicken, saltfish fritters, curry goat, dumplings, plantain and a whole bunch of good caribbean food
