Current Events > My closest cousin is having to deal with some shit

I'm feeling really bad for him. His dad, my favorite uncle, had been in the hospital since last Sunday, he had a stroke and some major heart issues were discovered. He is likely to die in the hospital.

About 5 years ago my uncle and his wife divorced so his mom is like trying to be there for him but isn't physically coming to the hospital.

The day before the stroke, my cousins younger sister gave up her kids to her mom and said she doesn't want them back, wishes she had an abortion. They think she's on heroin or meth or something, apparently dropped like 50 pounds in 2 months and is living in a shed with some random guy.

An 10 minutes ago his texted me saying his wife just called him to tell him his dog was hit by a car and is dead.

I think he's had enough shit for a while.

Man that's all terrible. And strokes are awful, when my father had one it fucked me up pretty good for a couple of years.

Oh and to make it even harder he lives about 3 hours from Seattle, where my uncle was brought. All the aunts and uncles and most of the cousins are about 3 hours away so it's just me, my brother and one cousin about 10 years older than me that are at all local to Seattle so he's been pretty alone at the hospital too.

i know all about the 3rd situation and seen how it all plays out... someone i know had a kid and ended up losing em because of heroin
they also nearly died from that shit too. not sure what happened when she got evicted from the apartment after 6 month's of non-payment of rent.

one only hopes they get clean and want to rebuild life.

Going to be really hard for her. She always isolates herself and loves burning bridges. At this point it seems like she will have to hit a true rock bottom and survive it in and make progress on her own for any more help.
