What else is there to pursue? She has no evidence so she can't go after him criminally. He's about to be confirmed so stopping that failed. She destroyed his reputation though, so I guess she'll take that W into the sunset.

That and all the crowdfunding donations.

I'm so confused why people think he should be punished when there is literally not a shred of corroborative evidence. You're certainly welcome to believe he's an attempted rapist, but he shouldn't be punished without actual proof that he is one.

Republicans and most white women don't think he did it and they don't care about the dozens of documents that just this week we found out were being withheld... Plus all the other ones that were withheld outright that we knew about. His reputation was crappy well before this to those who actually cared.

And the crowdfunding doesn't even compare to how much Kavanaugh's have earned. But unlike him, Ford and her entire family have had to move given the credible death threats they've all received. She is also a professional who earned hundreds of thousands for years, so this isn't much to recompense her having to literally pack up and start somewhere else.

Because him being confirmed doesn't make her unraped.

Giving up now immediately after she failed to stop the confirmation only makes it looks more like she had been lying the entire time. If she wasn't, she would still be looking for justice.

She couldn't get a confirmation stopped, where is she going to find the evidence to win a criminal trial? That's quite higher a standard of proof you need to meet. She is smart enough to know how futile and expensive that would be.

People don't want him punished, they want an investigation into the accusations.

Which is not and never was an unreasonable request.

They also want people who knew him to actually be interviewed. Like all the ones who posted op-eds about how yes, he drank heavily and was constantly drunk to excess and therefore he perjured himself which should not just disqualify him from the SCOTUS but is worthy of having him disbarred and removed from all judge positions.

So you refuse to answer or acknowledge that the investigation was a farce because it couldn't actually investigate anything related to whether he perjured himself (and he did) or if there was any corroborating evidence?

The fact that he's getting money from sources that are being blocked from the Senate itself is highly suspicious.

Basically, that you don't think to consider that there is anything worth investigating says everything about you.

I don't even get this point. The whole reason she came forward was because he was being nominated to be the most grand judge of morality in the country.

Seems completely reasonable for her to put her story forth to let the full view of Kavanaugh enter public eye. Seems like if I knew someone was an immoral asshole, I wouldn't want them to be the grand judge of morality. It's not like the case is very strong, legally. Or even possible. So why would you ever expect her to pursue it?

Ah yes, one day ten years ago she just decided to speak to her therapist about some guy who had never wronged her because she wanted to destroy his reputation when he got on the fast track to his judge position in DC. I guess she's in for the long con since it took her a decade and still failed.

Give it a rest. The left was never going to be satisfied unless Kavanaugh was found guilty of it. You never cared about the facts or evidence.

You know exactly why they don't want to keep the investigation stretched out. Don't pretend you don't know the politics behind it. The FBI did their best and you just don't like the facts that even her witnesses can't back her up.

She said herself she never spoke of the event publicly after it occurred.

When none of her witnesses can remember a horrible incident like that, she never talked about it to her best friend, and only her therapist then yes it is suspect.

People do not forget when something like sexual assault happens to their best friend, and when none of her witnesses can recall then it means something fishy is going on.
