Highlighting the talking points of a very specific ideology is not 'generalizing'. If I said, "Man, all the Nazis really hate minorities" or, "Man, these Communists sure don't like private ownership", I'm not generalizing, I'm commenting on the argument they make. Conservationism, on the other hand, is waaaaaaay to broad and I'm not going to lump all of them together with Trump's particular brand because they come in a wildly different range of forms.
