Eh, nothing left to infect in Detroit. Most of it is an abandoned dump. Let them waste their money on useless advertising.

Billboards aren't as expensive as you might think, and I can't imagine that the rundown shithole of a surrounding area is terribly attractive to advertisers.

honesty Detroit is in such a state right now that I don't see how it going far right conservative can really make it any worse.

Haven't Democrats been "fixing" Detroit for like 70 years now?

There are a lot of young people moving into the city now, particularly in the downtown areas, and that is attracting businesses here. Particularly tech businesses.

If you've lived in the city, you can see a clear improvement now from where it was 10 years ago. It still has a ways to go, but no one said that it would happen overnight.

Its a shame that the blight removal seemed to have slowed down. I wish they could secure some more funding just to knock down all the crackhouses up and down the main roads. And rebuild areas like the mammoth building.

Why is it taking so long? Is it worth investing into it or would I be wasting my money?

Sorry TC, nobody gives a fuck about Detroit and you have bigger problems to worry about than a billboard you don't like because they have a different opinion than you.

Like I said, it takes time, and they are focusing more on downtown and the surrounding areas, since that's mostly where the young people are moving and working. That has been a bit of a source of controversy among the longtime residents, especially when the topic of gentrification comes up.

Some of the properties are really cheap, so you could look into investing.

The young people and businesses moving in disagree.

Yeah, because you have never been bothered by the differing opinions of liberals or SJWs, huh?
