Well in a 24/7/365 news cycle, can you really blame a non-negligible amount of men for being cautious or for taking these stances when you can reference dozens of instances where you might as well have had just that? Sure in the grand scope, instances of false rape allegations are rare, but they get a lot of attention in the media so people remember it a lot more than real rape allegations --- The name is wackyteen* for a reason.
