the responses in this topic show that its no wonder that the governments of the world and media gets away with things so easily. you guys can make fun of me all you want and gang up on me like a cult mob but even if one person were to read what i write and say " you know, this guys right " and stopped consuming junk food and living a bad lifestyle then all of this hounding by you guys is worth it.

Yes he came to the right conclusion but took the wrong path to get there. So nothing hes said in this topic has been constructive.

Big pharma likes getting people on chronic medicine because the payout is a lot higher than preventative treatment. Awesome just chooses to blame the people caught in the system when the system is gamed against them (unless what medicine they need is a vaccine of course).

Opioid abuse is such a rampant problem because there was lax regulation against pharma and doctors prescribing them. I never hear these types call for more regulation.

In any case, Doctors aren't always right. In fact, they're quite often wrong. But the odds of them being wrong are substantially lower than for someone who literally has no formal scientific education in biology or pharmacology.

The worst part is that the less formal scientific training you have, the less likely you are to even be aware of just how poor your knowledge of something is.

You literally can't assess your own inadequate knowledge without gaining the knowledge to realize just how poor it was.

Doctors tell their patients that all the time. It's literally the first recommendation we make to patients in primary care settings. You don't need a Naturopath to tell you that diet and exercise is good.

And no, our solution to every problem isn't "push pills". In fact, if anything I de-escalate medications more often than I start them.
