o Girl is the ONLY CHEERLEADER at her SCHOOL!! Do you feel bad??

Full Throttle 09/27/18 8:50:59 PM #1:	Are you embarrassed for Kaitlyn? - Results (5 votes) Yes 0% (0 votes) 0 No 100% (5 votes) 5 17 y/o Kaitlyn Berthiaume is the ONLY CHEERLEADER at her Maine High School because all the other cheerleaders backed out for personal reasons or didn't want to do it anymore to support their teams.. However, that didn't stop Kaitlyn from being the sole cheerleader for the Messalonskee cheer team as she attempts to rally up her uninspired school at football games and gives it all she's got.. She's the team captain on a team emptier than a store without a PS4 but says "I love it. i love the sport. So i was like, hey i'll just do it. I don't care if i'm standing there by myself" She says she still enjoys cheering for her high school team but admits she misses a crucial aspect of having teammates such as doing stunts and she can't do any of them without a squad.. The only advantage of being solo is that she got to make HERSELF team captain and is never out of sync....except for when she forgets her routines which is rare and says "there's no one to compare me to so if i mess up, it's just me so no one can know" Her coaches Maila Courture and Annie help the lone cheerleader do warm ups and works outs as they cheer extra loud for her at games to give support Maila was worried how the community would perceive her at the school but they've gotten positive feedback and want to be there for her. Kaitlyn is proving to be a role model for the small town but does have her doubts for the future of cheerleading when she's gone.
