It's usually a matter of height. My daughter turned 12 on Wednesday. People assume she's 13 or 14 just because she's tall.

Yeah it really depends. People hit their growth spurts at different ages. Though I think there was some study that said people were physically developing faster

it's probably just your perception changed as you got older. also maybe they aren't pumping as many growth hormones into meat these days
