One of the greatest metal bands of all time. Their string of 7 classic albums from 1976-1984 (Point of Entry can be ignored except for Desert Plains) is a feat that most bands can only dream of. An incredible comeback in Painkiller, another good comeback in Angel of Retribution, and yet another one in Firepower.

One of the greatest singers of all time still going strong at 67.

He left after Painkiller and came back in 2003. After a 15 year hiatus, they recorded Angel of Retribution in 2005 and he's stayed ever since.

Is there a timestamp in both songs that i'm looking for here? All i'm hearing is a moderate steady beat throughout the entire song in both posts. Very familiar with both songs, and Led Zeppelin in general. Neither of these I find to be exceptional drumming. Maybe i'm missing something. Have you heard Painkiller?

Maiden and Priest will always be two of the greatest of all time, and I don't really feel comfortable saying one is definitively better than the other. I do find myself listening to Priest more often, but they both have quite a few classic albums, and both of them have shown they've still got it.

I was always more fond of Maiden than Priest but in the last year or so I think I've come around to the opposite. Still a big fan of Maiden but they just don't have quite the same appeal to me they used to. Pretty glad I've had the chance to see both live (and caught Maiden on the Somewhere Back in Time tour, so instead of suffering through their mediocre more recent material it was all 80s stuff with the exception of Fear of the Dark.)

I did not know that they're still playing live and making new music! That's crazy! I only recently came across them and it's been awesome. I love them as much as I love Black Sabbath. Might see if I can snag some tickets!

Next up is Led Zeppelin. Never really listened to their stuff beyond some of their most known music.
