I never got why people like them. They use their might to push other people around and steal their technology just so they can keep it for themselves. They're not much better than the Enclave or the Institute. The only real difference is that the BOS don't experiment on various populations, but still if you're a non-feral ghoul, an intelligent supermutant, or a synth you're dead.

They were decent in Fallout 3, but people hated that so they became dicks again thanks to Maxon.

Yeah I actually like Fallout 3's Brotherhood more. I get that that version of the Brotherhood lacks the depth that they're supposed to have. Fallout isn't meant to be so black and white. But man I hated the Brotherhood in NV. Didn't play enough of Fallout 4 to form an opinion of them there though.

I only played Fallout 1 and 2 and Fallout Tactics - but in Tactics the BoS lets any race join (even deathclaws)
