I have a television but only because it's hooked up to my computer. I don't have cable hooked up to it at all. Even when over at someone's house and it's on, we never sit down to watch it. Everything I watch is though the internet.

I bet sometime soon, all shows will be on the internet and traditional cable TV with ads will be dead. It's just redundant at this point.

My parents' cable bill is about $120. They don't even have a premium package. I've tried to get them to move to streaming, but they won't even try.

What's even more irritating is my mom DVR's everything. So she's essentially using it like a streaming service anyway.

tell them to call in and see about repackaging if they don't want to get rid of it. they're probably on some everyday pricing that is wildly expensive, have unused equipment fees or services they don't use, or some combination
