This is kind of neat

Beating it has advanced the "storyline" so to speak for everyone else. The dreaming city has changed and there's new enemies and quests there.

There's one new mission/quest, changes to the environment as well as a new Strike, which is like Destiny's dungeons. The Strike is a fun one, with some awesome atmosphere and an engaging boss fight. You jump between this beautiful Awoken complex, which I can only describe as futuristic Elven, and another realm of existence in the same physical location.
