(topic title on purpose to prove the stereotypes in my have a drink topic true)
Series 2013 $1 C78800887C So we have a neat-o looking radar(same numbers forwards and backwards) but also a step above with the fed reserve designation C for Philadelphia and the suffix of C as well. This one isnt in too bad of shape. I think if I ebayed it I could sell it for 5-10 dollars however I wont. I'll just add it to my one dollar bill investment fund. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Oh yeah it isnt easy finding valuable serials. The odds of finding a full solid are around one in 11 million and other ultra rare ones arent too far behind. As always the hardest and mpst valuable serial is 00000001. Any condition worth around 1 thousand+
I think its fun and its free but yeah terrible odds. I liken it to playing the lottery but free. However i set aside bills i find cool and bills with value like this one in OP(even if only 5-10 dollars) and ive got around 800 dollars face put away im not missing that i wont spent on stupid shit. So essantially ive saved 800 dollars with the chance i could score big. Very few of my bills are worth way over face, such as my 2009A hundred serial 0000xxxx*. Forget the actual serial but is is low(4zeroes to start) and a star note from a low print run of 640,000. I value it around 200 dollars but im nof sure. I just know its worth a decent chunk over face. One time a woman paid with 4 silver dollars at wallg world. Three 1920s peace dollars and one 20s morgan. This was before i knew what i was doing but i figure shit a 1922 US coin ive never heard of...and she paid with 4. Turns out Each one can sell for around 15-30 bucks but silver melt(90% silver at around .700 oz each means around 10 bucks in precious metal a pop). And i spent 4 bucks. Not an every day score but just be on the lookout especially if you work a cash register. But even just change you get be on the lookout. Silver is in all denoms other than pennies. War nickels(wwii years nickels) have 40 pct silver and all dimesand quarters pre 1965 have 90% silver and halves before 1971 have some silvef. For dollars its the 20s and prior. Though they do make silver halves and dollars today but theyre collectors only but legal to pay with so sometimes they end ul in circulation. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I was mistaken about my hundred. was too lazy to get out of bed so i typed all that shit on my phone.
I own this bill http://www.mycurrencycollection.com/reference/star-notes/lookup/100/2009A/ld00005269 So what makes it valuable over face value? Low serial number(ive only seen a handful of bills with 4 zeroes(and only seen one with 5 or higher, which i also own a one dollar 00000677*) and i check literally every bill i see at work(if i have time) and even friends bills since they let me check em. Star note from a low print run(I was mistaken, even rarer from a 320,000 run) and its condition isnt too bad. So like I said I value it around 150-200 or something like that, maybe more. i dont know. With bill serial numbers and star note print runs its not quite like coins where you can look in a guide book and gets its approximate value. There is no guide book for these values. So its mainly looking up traditional auction and ebay auction results to determine what somebody will pay. ... Copied to Clipboard!
