Try something less hoppy.

Anyway I've drank some that tasted like pure pine sap.

I buy Hoegaarden when I see it.

A smooth and fine tasting beer.

I think Guinness kind of tastes like a really mild coffee with the mouthfeel of chocolate milk. Really smooth, barely bitter at all, available every where.

I feel like most people drink lagers and when they delve into "other" beers they try IPAs and pale ales, which are bitter and hoppy.

Try porters or stouts. They're darker beers that are more creamy in nature. A lot of them have coffee or chocolate overtones. The nitro brews have a creamy mouthfeel.

They're like dessert beers. They're great.

Hell... go street style.

I'll help myself to some Colt 45 sometimes for old times sake.

There's King Cobra and Ole E too.

Make sure they're very cold though.

They taste like ass warm.

As much as I hate to agree....if you dont actually like the taste of beer try craft beers. Craft beer is to beer as Starbucks is to coffee.

Maybe? Its just a popular wheat beer. Not better than say Hoegarden but not bad. Ive never tried any of their other rainbow of flavors.

Southern Tier makes literal dessert bears. Choklat, Choklat-Oranj, Salted Caramel, Cherry Cordial, Thick Mint, Samoa This, etc. etc.

Try a quality Belgian beer!

Dubbels, tripels, and quads are usually quite low on the hoppiness scale, while singles and golden/dark strongs tend to have a bit more tang... still nowhere near IPAs though. Saisons can also be found with fairly low IBUs but that style is pretty wide so it's not a hard and fast rule.

EDIT

Forgot to mention I tried grisette not too long ago, light, very refreshing, and far from bitter, almost shandy-ish... a recommended summer beer
