so found out something about the game that feels kinda rapey

in the post game you can make a wish to marry gemma and then it happens. no ceremony, didnt even ask her and she never agreed to it. just got brainwashed into being your wife by magic, so the second they consummate their marriage its literally rape because she is under a magic spell

Hadn't thought of it quite like that, but was creeped a bit by that one as well.

except this game is on studio ghibli-esque levels of light heartedness and you're not supposed to take it that way at all yusiko, its meant to be a cute culmination of their friendship all their lives.. even if I hate Gemma to the depths of my soul. couldn't even help me fight those slimes at the beginning smh..

Now that I am in the second act of the game, is there anything pressing to do? I tried to go back to the Casino to see if they had cooler stuff there, but they wouldn't let me in.... bastards.

I won 600000 tokens in 10 minutes at the monster casino, and I spent them on horse manure and boxer shorts. fml

I went back to the hundred coin slot machines, and within 5 minutes, got an all sevens jackpot with the Silver Spins qualifier. inb4 the 1 million coin prize is a fucking bottle of milk or something.

Yeah, I'm kind of thinking that. I had a 20 silver spin round, where I got three jackpots and a host of other wins. This is all fishy bullshit.

That was dirty, game. Making me go through a boss fight and depleting my already scant MP, just to throw a much harder boss at me afterwards. Would be nothing on normal mode, but playing on hard mode got a little sketchy.

Funny story for you guys.

Sat down at the 10 token Poker table for the FIRST time, and bet 100 tokens right off the bat. Didn't realize how high I was betting, I just put something in.

So I slap down 100 tokens, and up comes 4 queens immediately.

I didn't know if I click the cards I want to keep, or click the cards to throw away. I threw away my queens xD.

To be fair SE had absolutely no say when it comes to the music. Sugiyama is the composer and owns the rights to the music. It doesn't help that Sugiyama is a stubborn old man.

She was also very Chinese looking and one of the stereotypes of Asian people is lisps when trying to say English words.

I doubt it was at all intentional, but those speech patterns combined with the ethnic background they are going for is kinda rough. Plus it was awful to listen to her.

I'm finding that the story is becoming a bit of disjointed and random and I'm losing interest a little bit during the orb hunting phase.

I'm gonna continue later and hopefully it picks back up a bit.
