I've been playing since the beta launched. The game passable, but its a poor beta, compared to say BF4's beta

- The AR/ SMGs are kinda eh, you go through ammo way to fast on your own
- The Snow map is pretty bad on regular Conquest, but is decent on Grand Ops
- The Urban map is decent, but could be a lot better.
- Too much time unlocking skins vs qweapon attachments, most weapons are meh
- Reviving teammate sometimes has you switching weapons, very annoying
- Fortifying seems kinda pointless in Conquest, but is amazing in Grand Ops
- Assault class is ass
- Medic class is nice
- Engineer class is meh
- Recon Class is great, but spotting sucks

I tried the beta too. Only like 20 minutes though. I'll say it's not bad but it's tough to compare because I didn't care for Hardline or BF1 a ton. It's no BF3/4. Plus I'm coming off of playing Doom or Fortnite (with some Battleborn/Overwatch before that).

I'm sure their whole goal is to balance the classes which is going to annoy me. As support I was self sufficient. Would never run out of ammo, used C4 to remove pesky vehicles, and the guns fit my playstyle. Losing any of that is gonna suck. However it's only a beta and things will most definitely change. Chances are I'll try it after a price drop.

Gunplay seems really good. Having a lot of fun but I usually run with a squad of battlefield veterans so thats always way better than solo play.

STG is a bit too good but the guns all seem useable.

Tanks control like garbage unfortunately. Was on of my favorite things to do in 3 and 4. Bf 1s tanks were crap too. Not bad just not fun.

Looking forward to getting the game but pretty much agree with most of LevelCaps complaints in his recent video about health and ammo changes.

Also revive by pressing the button not holding, holding switches kits while reviving. Most dont know this though so if you then ressed prepare for a new kit.

So, is EA that determined to shit this up? Here's my dilemma. I don't watch the news or care about this social stuff, meaning all of the controversy means nothing to me. I do however know EA's habits and they aren't my fave developer. Barely a step above Activision who I avoid like the plague.

This is the second night in a row I've tried to play the BF5 beta but the game won't connect to the servers. How am I supposed to have a positive opinion about a game that's trying its hardest to chase away all its customers? If we don't have BF to keep CoD's numbers down what else can be up to the task?
