As opposed to all the quality system backup QBs to go around right LOL? I'm sure he couldn't play for the Packers because Brett Hundley is much better in their system smh. I get he is a PR nightmare but if you think he is out of the league due to his skill-set you're delusional

He went from being a starting QB to out of the league, you can't tell me he wouldn't be a quality backup on most teams.

You don't bring in a distraction who is a backup...and hes a gimmick qb. Cant be placed into any offense and succeed. He needs a specific offense and playbook to be average at best.

Dont know why Kaepernick supporters ignore all the negative football play he brings. But I guess they gotta push that race war

They believe him to be the next Tony Romo or whatever famous QB you wanna imagine. Never mind his stats are just nowhere close enough and the media circus and his ego surrounding him would demand he be starter or else you are racist. Like how Obama's book claimed it was racism that had him benched when there were better black players on the same team.

Hey, Hundley isn't on the Packers.

Kaepernick sucks and is a huge discraction. That also wants the same money as starting Qbs. If he wasn't awful and didn't want more money than he's worth then maybe the distraction wouldn't matter.

Rex ryan was still employed despite me lolling hard at the jets for years and him being a joke coach and then he got employed by the bills and they became a bigger laughing stock. Same with mark sanchez and jay cutler and kyle orton and other quarterbacks who were extremely krappy but managed to hang onto other teams. You can do this with the qbs the jets and the bills and the browns have had the past 2 decades and a lot of them are extremely krappy

So yeah he has a case

The mark Sanchez that went to 2 straight conference championship games? And then a couple years after that was pretty much never heard from again and accepted whatever contracts he could get. Yah, totally good comparison to use.

Kyle Orton. Went from the starter to the bench his first few years, got traded, played about a year and a half and then got replaced. And then signed whatever contract he could for his last couple years. Yah, totally good comparison to use.

Cutler. He's whatever. Got nothing.

I think people itt don't understand the actual CBA.

1. The question of whether teams colluded against him do not hinge on whether he's "good enough" for a position. You can collude against a terrible player as well. So the arguments about how good a player he is miss the point, since it's likely that a preponderance of evidence for him requires more than just "Look at them compared to me!"

2. For his case to be successful, he doesn't need all 32 teams to collude against him. Just two of the thirty two teams or a team and the league office.

3. He can still claim collusion even if he was offered a contract by a team if they colluded with another team to keep the price down.

Kaepernick could never play in Florida especially in Miami after his cuba/Fidel comments..just look how Kiko Alonso reacted towards him.

Also Cutler went to the coach and system he shined in so they didn't have to change the playbook or anything

Hopefully he's picked up more skills in life than just football, for his sake.

Or, if he absolutely must play football, because it's his passion, there's always foreign leagues.

But there are obligations from the CBA that prevent teams from colluding with each other or the league.

Specific owners have been deposed for questions for the hearing over the last six months or so. Kaep and his representation aren't just going into this as "I'm good enough to have a position and I don't", because that would never be sufficient evidence for collusion.

Chip Kelly generally didn't allow audibles, IIRC.
In spite of that, Kaep put up decent-to-good stats his last year in the league, in spite of playing on a team with little talent.
196/331(59.2%) 2,2241 yds.(6.77 avg) 16 TDS/ 4 INTs for a 90.7 QB rating. An additional 468 yds. rushing(at 6.8 per attempt) and 2 TDs.
Tyrod Taylor is actually a good comparison, but Kaep has generally generated more chunk plays and more scores over his career(Tyrod is slightly more accurate and better at protecting the football). Overall, he's probably a bit better than Tyrod is, and flashed franchise-QB potential under Harbaugh.

In other words, he's 100% been black-balled for his political beliefs(NFL teams eagerly employ the likes of A.J. McCarron, Chad Henne, Geno Smith, Blake Bortles, etc. etc.) The few teams he had contact with demanded he stand for the anthem as a condition for employment, IIRC.
