With the release of those two, a lot of people considered those to be a return to form for Cartoon Network. Luckily Gumball and Steven Universe are still ongoing but it really feels like the end of an era.

Same thing with me actually though I blame CN for screwing with the scheduling all the time. Both shows maintained a pretty good run throughout their entirety and that's rare nowadays.

Not really. CN had quality cartoons for a while. Then suddenly they decided quality didn't matter. So for two high quality cartoons to come out on the same day was rightfully seen as a good sign.

True. I wish he had more "real" moments though. The episode where Margaret broke up with Mordecai in order to go to her dream school and the episode where Mordecai dealt with it were Rigby's best moments. Also, how did Rigby, between the two of them, end up with the longest lasting relationship?

Regular Show, Adventure Time, Infinity Train, Steven Universe, early Amazing World of Gumball, Young Justice and Teen Titans, original Ben 10 were the only good Cartoon Network shows I grew up watching. I do think I as around when there was a show about a blue blob in a foster home with other zany creatures.
