Like, are there people on here that would defend the concept of freedom of speech even if they hate what another person is saying?

Is there a person on here that is a Democrat, but also, against the idea of socialism? A Democrat that supports the idea of free market capitalism?

Is there a Democrat on here that only believes in one race? The human race? A Democrat that doesn't believe in this "privilege" nonsense?

Is there a Democrat that isn't completely against 2A?

Is it just me, or does the Democratic party seem unsure of itself? Like it was once grounded in its principles and now the bolts have been loosened and the structure is ready to float away?

Why should I be ridiculed for pointing this out? Why should I be ridiculed for aligning myself with the party that is (in my view) currently bolted down in its principles? The party that doesn't need to react to every little news story and change its principles every other day because of their "compassion" or rather, in my view, pandering to the masses to feel good about themselves.

If we were to pretend the two parties were human beings, and I had to hire one of them...well, I'm sorry, but to me, the Democrat is aloof and unsure of what they want to be (like a 20 year old kid) and the Republican is the wily ol' veteran that doesn't let things get in their way of getting the job done.

Sure there are, you just don't want to see them because you'd rather play the victim and cry about being bullied by the big bad liberals all the time and it's easier for you to strawman the "other side", as you did through this entire topic.

Seems like a "you" problem, tbh

Sargon of Akkad calls himself a "Classical Liberal", but he still gets called alt-right because he refuses to be programed to follow every single belief progressives have. So they are out there, they just get labeled alt-right.

Classical liberals are not typically Democrats

idk where you live but there are plenty of people I know who fit the categories you've posted

in fact, most people I know are supporters of capitalism and wary of social democrats / democratic socialism
most people accept that privilege is real, although there are still holdouts who don't accept it
etc., etc.

"Classical liberalism" only became a meme because conservatives didnt want to call themselves such publicly as it became a poisonous name. Sort of how a lot of them called themselves "Libertarian" before that fad wore off.

Republicans bolted down in their principles? Lmao! Not that democrats are, but that's just ridiculous.

Hey come on now, Trump has totally acted like a principle Republican. Don't you know they have always loved massive spending and huge government oversight?

Can you point to the year where you ideal Democratic party is from?

I feel like the Bill Clinton era was fine. I honestly can't imagine Bill being in support of open borders or pro socialism or being against 2A

Please stop Caution and just go look up Clinton's history with the 2nd Amendement and gun rights.

He was far more restrictive than the current Democratic politicians dude...

I mean fuck, the Assault Weapons Ban getting passed directly had a huge hand in the Republican success in the 94 midterms and basically drove the power of the NRA to unprecedented levels at the time due to their influence. Like come on dude

Clinton was not a "classic Democrat," though. He was part of the DLC, people who called themselves, at the time, "New Democrats," who specifically rejected the old New Deal coalition and the party's traditional economic views. His administration was spent compromising with Republicans and passing things over the objection of his party's left, for which he was criticized at the time.
