New guy's just the right amount of flavorful. Wonder what his deal is going to be because he's so obviously a Zelos. Also, I know the music is mostly Dragon Quest replays, but I can't help but think about Skies of Arcadia a ton of the time (ESPECIALLY out at sea), and Quest 64 whenever I'm in a church.

Did anyone else use their pre-order skill seeds, and if so, on who? Erik took all of them for early +40 Deftness.

I absolutely adore how many costumes this game throws at you. Like, I'm legit stunned that a turn-based RPG with production value this high is coming out in 2018 with no costume dlc or any other shenanigans. It's just a damn well-made game!

Man I really wish anyone was as far and me so I could talk about some of this stuff.

Also if you didn't know it looks like you can fill in paths on the skill panels to reach skills in other categories, and still keep those skills if you rectify the path.

For example, if you open up hexes on Sylv's whips and wrap around an chain to unlock showmanship skills, then rectify whips, you still keep the showmanship skills you unlocked through whips even though they aren't connected anymore. A good way to fudge the system. I don't know if this works with the hexes you have to break, though.

Went back to the casino to try the slots again and wow, the Slime Quest slots are legit magical, lol. Is there a big difference in token income between them and the more traditional slots? The pachinko style flavoring is just a ton of fun to see play out, haha.

so I'm going to give up magic twins superior offensive and healing magic to let rab handle both along with buffs and debuffs that way I can have Hero, Erik and Martina all in my party because I like them the most.

Hero - Greatsword
Erik - Dual weild knives
Rab - Staffs
Martina - Spears

I'll actually shuffle my party around pretty often to match whatever enemy group shows up. Love love LOVE that this game lets you do that, coupled with benched party members getting full exp it's just a very pleasant experience.

I'm up to like 25 hours in the port town because I try to read all NPC dialogue whenever it updates
Gallopolis updated like 4 or 5 times, so that was quite the slog
