I also sorta wished the Vietnam part had been cut, but not because it was bad, but because it wasn't set in America, and America is obviously an important location in this film. Guerrilla Soldier 09/02/18 3:54:40 PM #20:	i really think they did a great job of portraying the relationship between forrest and jenny everyone's always on the fence of who loved whom and why. it's just such a realistic depiction of love. we all experience it in different ways, and movies have come to craft it as this very solid idea. forrest gump, however, has no problems showing how complicated and mind-boggling love and affection can get. it's rigid and nonsensical and makes you think thousands of conflicting ways at once. and that's just one of the things the movie does. it does so much else. really is a great film. --- Disclaimer: There's a good chance the above post could be sarcasm.
