The jury found her guilty of murdering him when she shot him in the FACE and claimed "self defense" because she "feared" him but in fact she killed him cause he was about to dump her for Miss Ohio!! The first trial had to be thrown out because one of the jurors was a convicted felon, which is illegal in Kentucky to have a juror who was convicted but her fate was sealed in the second one after they unanimously found her guilty. Jay Poston, Ryan's Dad said it was 6 years of hell for their family having to go through this as Katie Carter, his sister brought a teddy bear made out of one of Ryan's shirts was brought to court. When she pressed on the bear's hand, it was greeted with Ryan's voice mail that was played for the jury and said "That's it. That's all we have left of our brother"... Sharon Hubers, the mother of Shayna said her daughter got multiple SCHOLARSHIPS and begged them to give her a second chance because she's the only child and person she has left in their family but Jay DOESN'T believe they should show her mercy The jury only took 4 hours to cook Shayna and gave her a life sentence as she mouthed "I love you" to her mother and cried into her attorney's arms before being hauled away The murder happened in 2012 when Ryan was supposed to meet Miss Ohio 2012, Audrey Bolte for a date on the SAME DAY he DUMPED Shayna. That set her off and she pulled out a gun and shot him SIX TIMES in the forehead, back and torso. She called 911 to say "Ma'am, i killed my boyfriend" She was seen on surveillance SINGING and DANCING in the interrogation room admitting "i did it" and said that Ryan was VAIN because he asked her to get a NOSE JOB and said "And i shot him right here. I gave him his nose job he wanted. I broke it.
