Go to some fancy restaurant with these gimmick foods I see all the time on my Facebook (last month I went to Max Brenner's Chocolate Bar to get that chocolate pizza)

but honestly i do not like NYC, i try to avoid going there as much as possible.

Last year I had a nice day in Manhattan to myself. I started in Soho, walked and got a coffee, walked down to Battery Park to check out the Statue of Liberty. Then walked to the Freedom Tower and visited the 9/11 memorial. Walked to the west side and up that bike path over by Rockefeller park. Got lunch in Tribeca, walked back to Soho. Did the Brooklyn Bridge on foot and had a beer in Dumbo. Took the subway back to Soho and met up with my friend to go pick up my car in Brooklyn. Drove way the fuck up to Washington Heights and had dinner. Then back to the upper west side, dropped her off and back to Soho.

The only things I might have added were The High Line, Central Park, and a beer at Zum Schneider but I've already done those things before.

This, visiting shops where they sell hard-to-find stuff and eat & drink stuff they don't have in Europe, where I live, especially root beer. My dad brought me a bottle once upon returning from a trip to the US. Loved it, and unfortunately it's apparently non-existent in Europe.

This. I'll try affordable eats in all of NYC to see the hype. By affordable, I'm talking about places that aren't luxury like steaks, lobsters and whatnot. Also, Pokemon Go the whole time.
