I only beat commander yanmark so far, but I honestly cant get past the other levels >_>

-Blizzard Wolfang I cant get past the boulders in the beginning cuz those X-holograms keep attacking me in the hideaways and draining my health

-Infinity Mijinion has that stupid giant robot that I cant get past

-Metal Shark Player has those bullshit crushers

-Rainy Turtloid has that 3rd section with the acid rain that I can't get past, along with X holograms attacking me

-Blaze Heatnik has that fucking donut thing that I can't even beat once

-Ground Scaravitch I can get to the end, but I heard if you beat him, he makes Rainy Turtloid's stage completely dark, so I want to avoid it.

-Shield Sheldon I can get to the boss fight, but he just kicks my ass really hard.

Fuck this game >_> Some of these levels are so bad

Just use ultimate armor. The game is not worth the headache.

Oh and to undo nightmare effects just enter and exit a stage. Should make Riny Turtloid a little easier.

Go to Yammark's stage and beat it, then come back and they'll be gone.

It's not permanent. It's only based on the previously visited stage.

Why would you want to avoid something easy? And getting more weapons will help you, especially for the donuts...

I wish they had localized the Maverick names in this one. I learned the real names from a gaming magazine before it was released.



Whichever stages glow red will have the nightmare effects. Only the first couple stages you play are normal.

MMX6 is alright if you just play casually to the end. For completionists though, it's pretty terrible. It's as if the developers tried to come up with every bullshit method possible to screw you out of 100%. My favorite are the reploids and nightmares that spawn and die off-screen, taking their items with them permanently.

Since the names weren't localized it can get confusing. Mijinion is Japanese for water flea.

Like I said, the low points. The mode X7 reploid is worse, but don't forget those three in the bottom corner of the screen in Infinity's stage. X6 Zero has a technique that literally kills you when you're not even trying to use it. And actually, the X7 combo is ok except the last hit, tbh. >_>

Rainy Turtleoid is hard >_> I only have like 9 ice shots and his shell regens too fast for me to do any real damage, plus he wastes time rolling around the stage, so I can't hit him during that.

just hit slash then dash to cancel the animation, then hit slash again quickly.

Don't even need Saber Dash Cancel in this one lol. Guard Shell with Zero is infinitely more broken. Switch to using it with Blade Armor X's air dash for the High Max fight.

I beat this game many times, Expert mode, 100%. It is a legit bad game, but i liked it back then for some reason. Guess i was desperate to play an X game.

There is an amazing no damage unarmored X no weapons playthroughh of this game where the player goes over every detail of why the game is awful. Possibly one of the greatest LP's of all time, albeit, it is pretty crass.

You were supposed to use charged Metal Anchor (X) or Rekkoha (Zero) to kill them quickly. Not that that makes the level any less shitty considering it's possible to attempt this level first. The platforming itself wasn't even that bad in this stage, but fuck off with the donuts, game, seriously.

Only by password when starting a new file, cannot be used alongside the Black Zero password.

Technically it's another example of bad coding, because actually it does have an unlock condition. It's just that said condition is impossible to achieve. And by impossible I mean literally impossible. Ditto for Black Zero as well.

Ultimate Armor wants your character to have something like 5,000 Nightmare Souls when you defeat High Max before getting to Gate's lab, in those secret area boss rooms.
Black Zero wants you to have the same amount when defeating Nightmare Zero(obviously as X, since you don't even have Zero at this point).

Pretty straightforward stuff, eh?

Except, you know, the teeny little problem that Gate's lab opens up the moment you gather 3,000 Nightmare Souls. And the fact that you can't fight Nightmare Zero nor High Max in the secret area boss rooms once that place becomes accessible; the boss is always good old Dynamo from that point on. Kind of an issue, wouldn't you think? Those unlock conditions might as well not exist.
