Haven't heard the full story to this, but...

If he was genuinely going through severe mental issues, he very likely could have been so wrapped up in his own world that he wasn't even considering the danger to others. He may not have been actively looking to kill anyone. And before people jump down my throat with "well what do you expect will happen if you [stuff]?", remember you're trying to apply rational thinking to someone who was so incapable of it at the time that they were trying to override their most basic survival instinct.

So flipping out about what a piece of shit he is may just be making you look like an idiot. Even more so if you do it for 15+ posts.

Let's give him the benefit of the doubt before we start trying to hatefuck his corpse so much that we're even want to deny his family the right to grieve. You know, because that's an absolutely shitty thing to do even if he was a sicko trying to rack up a killcount.

I imagine anyone that actually goes through with something like he did had severe mental issues. This reminds me of the Taconic Parkway incident (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Taconic_State_Parkway_crash) strangely enough I missed participating in that one by like 2 hours as well.

That section of that highway has a concrete barrier between the 2 directions. He had to deliberately (or drunkenly) gotten onto the off ramp backwards from Mira Mesa Blvd to even get on the northbound side of that highway.

I mean maybe he could have finagled it from the 5/805 split a little north of there but it was rush hour traffic. I don't think he would have made it that far without hitting another car. It seems deliberate.

I live a mile from where this happened. If it had been a year ago, I could have been driving up to my girlfriend's, I got on right at the exit it happened.

I feel so sorry for the mother and daughter who were killed. I sympathize with his mental issues, but what a piece of shit ending his life and taking out others like this.
