I ate McDonald's in Dubai. It actually tasted more "natural", if that makes sense. The fries tasted like actual food and not cardboard. The burgers somehow tasted less artery-clogging.

I think that would be an interesting experience tbh. Lots of places probably do use real food from local sources instead of processed chemical garbage.

That is what I was try to convey, the food tasted more real and healthier in comparison.

Yeah BK Mexico had some cool toppings like Pico de Gallo and Habaneros.

Pizza Hut Mexico gives ya packets of ketchup to put on your pizza. The sauce they use is very sweet.

And everyone already knows about Mexican glass bottle Coca Cola.

I went to a McDonalds in St. Maarten. The had a bunch of different burgers on the menu (I had one that was similar to the old Big Xtra) and beer was an option with the combos.

I really try not to because if I'm in a foreign country for like 4 days the last thing I want to do is waste time at mcdonalds

Yeah and I know it's kind of novel to see the differences but I only ever resort to mcdonalds when I'm hungover, stressed and short on time. Otherwise I'd much prefer going to some dodgy street stall and taking my chances

I went to a Pizza Hut in Bali. I didn't feel like experimenting so I got an American meat cheese stuffed crust and it tasted pretty much the same. As did the cheese balls. It was an clean, two-story restaurant unlike the dumpy carry out places we have here. Sorry, this Pizza Hut story sucks.

Yes, everything was also spotless in Dubai. I don't recall seeing even a piece of paper or tissue or dog crap anywhere on any ground. Lots of spit though.

I usually get small drinks with my meal if I go fast food.

Not American fastfood will give you an actual small drink (8oz or less) lol

KFC in Trinidad is so much worse than here in America. I had it last month, and damn it was so plain and dry. We asked for delivery, and when we called the local (closer) place, they said "No, call the one in your area. We don't serve your area." It took like an hour to get there.

Yes, mostly in Europe countries. The quality (if there is any quality left in those fast-food chains anyway) depends on the country & it's more or less the same. However, I prefer to eat the local food instead. Whenever I go abroad, I always try to find & taste local specialities.

Mcdonalds and KFC in Thailand (all the burgers are like the size of value menu burgers here and the KFC spicy chicken is fucking HOT)

Mcdonalds in Hong Kong (tasted pretty similar, but the meal came with a side of corn niblets)

Mcdonalds in poland (had a delicious burger with beet slices, fries tasted the same)

KFC in poland (my brother in law said it was expensive but good.... it tasted like awful KFC chicken, just like at home)

What I found interesting is that in some cases, the food wasn't that much cheaper than buying it at home, but so many people lined up to buy it, even if their income was lower... like it's a status symbol. Like mcdanks and KFC are garbage food here.

I had McDonald's and KFC in Taiwan

IIRC McD's tasted about the same as here (the one at the Taipei Zoo), but KFC tasted way different. It was a long time ago so I won't pretend to remember how it was different, but I liked it about the same.

@Colorahdo

Why does South American food suck?

I ate at a Johnny Rockets in Mexico and the food was really fresh.

South American and Mexican food are nothing alike. They didn't know what a burrito was in Bolivia.

SA has no food culture, they just boil chicken and rice. That's why there aren't any "Peruvian food" restaurants around, except for niche places trying to be hip

Not an American and I've basically never eaten at McDonalds at home because our food is so much better.

But whenever I travelled to a country with bad food I ate at McDonalds/KFC. Tasteless food, but that's better than food which tastes terrible.
