Hi. I need advice on finding a tenured position. The problem is the highest form of education is a high school diploma. I am a 25 year old male. As far as previous job experience I did work at Wendy's for a year and a half but quit because for that very reason; I asked about tenured position opportunities there and was told there were none. Needless to say I quit. Didn't even give a 2 week's notice after that. Now I am still looking for tenure without having to attend college. Now I need advice.

Yes, it's possible. I dropped out of college after my 1st year. IT certifications is a good path to take. I'd just recommend that you make sure you like the IT path you're going to get certs for if you go that route.

IT is a wide range of things. Tech support, system administration, network administration/engineering, network operations center techs, data center techs, IT helpdesk, and cable techs to name a few. I'm currently a network engineer. Next step for me is probably network security engineer and then maybe network architect. Not sure 100% sure, though.
