You mean like people who insist its Saiya-Jin when jin just means person. You could make an argument for Saiya vs Saiyan but putting the Jin on there just shows you dont know anything about Japanese.

Some of those are official retcons. Aeris became Aerith and Algus became Argath officially. The Tina thing is just fans going by the Japanese name.
