Good catch! I thought Starcade came first. That's what I get for not checking the Wikis first. I'm gonna finish this match and switch... This Mexican Death match is some real Tory Funk like stuff it is completely brutal. Abdullah the Butcher has been in some of the bloodiest matches I have seen to this point.

It does not bode well for Starcade 83 that Tito Santana and the Executioner was that good of a match to start the show. But if I recall correctly the quality doesn't hold up.

So I finished Wrestlemania 1. And while the matches weren't better than Starrcade the production value was just much higher so I think that might make it a bit better but not by much. Roddy Piper is still good no matter how much of a mess that Main Event was.

Also in case youre wondering about this, Starrcade was always on Thanksgiving every year, so Vince created Survivor Series to try to push them out of the market

He told cable companies to carry Survivor Series instead of Starrcade or else he wouldnt let them carry Wrestlemania IV. Most complied.
