sort of. coworkers aren't too worried about telling me, and i dont mind telling anyone. it's the leads/managers that don't tell, from what i've experienced.

This company hired a bunch of me along with a ton of my graduating class so we all had the same salaries starting off. Evaluations and raises were distributed a couple months ago and some of us shared and some didnt.

I don't talk about wages with coworkers as a personal rule, but because we work with some government contractors they legally cant prevent us from discussing it nor can they require it.

It's stupid not to bring it up because it lets Management treat workers unequally even if they're doing the exact same work. It's understandable if longer tenured workers have gotten quarterly raises and make more but if you're all programmers doing the exact same thing and someone's making $5 more than you are and hasn't been there much longer there's a prob
