Was it confirmed that Jin is the better fighter since he took out that last enemy?

I think that they were about equal.

both were extremely skilled, but Jin was too by the book to get a bead on Mugen, and Jin was too masterful for Mugen to get over on him.

anyway, I liked both, but Jin gets the edge, for me.

I didn't care for Mugen that much.

The problem I've always had with antiheroes is that, if you give the "good guy" all of the cool bad guy moments, that robs the story of a good villain. In the first episode, a rich kid threatens Mugen with his entourage of "samurai badasses." Mugen responds by grabbing the dude's hand and breaking one of his fingers every few seconds until they arrive to challenge him. They never arrive though as they've already been killed by Jin.

It was awesome, but... when that's what the "good guy" does, where does that leave the villain? I haven't seen the show since it first aired on Adult Swim. I remember a lot of moments with the three protagonists, and even some of the quirky one-shot characters like the bisexual Swedish dude, but I can't tell you anything about the villains.

It was still a really good show, but the thing that separated it from a show like Cowboy Bebop was the lack of a good villain and there was no room for one when the protagonist was the embodiment of ruthlessness.

Mugen all the way. Missing Fuu though, she would've won hands down.

She really was the best character.

It's funny that, in a show with two samurais, the best character was the non-fighter.
