That whole plotline not only has nothing to do with the Connor/Markus stuff, but the twist at the end ruins any emotional resonance it should have had.

Hers were literally pointless. Her entire story was running around trying to find food and shelter for some kid, then she meets up with Rosa Sparks to get assistance in crossing the border to Canada, only to end up exactly where she was at the beginning of the game. Then the icing on the cake, child is actually robo-child and doesn't need food, shelter or sleep at all so you realize you've spent the entire game trying to tend to a robot's non-existent needs, which resulted in countless unnecessary plot detours.

The plot twist is all about Kara's character development. What does that mean for her and does it change how she feels? Does she feel like she still has a purpose?

I thought her plot was the best because of how stressful it got.

First off, everyone at work is looking at me funny for busting up at Rosa Sparks.

Secondly, she was in denial. Why is an excellent question, but she for some reason didn't want to acknowledge it. But as for shelter, they do feel the elements so that part is fitting.

I thought Kara's story started off the most interesting, then its like they didn't know what to do after the first couple chapters. The twist, like you said, spits in the face of what Kara and Alice represented and also retroactively makes her sections pointless so that sucked. I still enjoyed most of them though.

I thought Connor would be the least interesting but the characters from his portions stole the show imo.

I tend to agree. The only good thing left after the twist was her pretty face.

I don't feel like it made her previous actions pointless. The point was that they were a family, and besides the girl still experienced cold and fear etc so Kara was still protecting her from those things.
