A former coworker unironically shared Alex's post teasing the Pizzagate bullshit and legit defended the nonsense when I called him out on it, saying that I have my news sources and he has his. He hasn't shared anything else from Alex since, so maybe I got through.

I saw an Infowars bumper sticker calling for the end of the Fed and to jail all bankers. I live in Canada.

He's not harmless, he influences the angry/susceptible/poorly educated with lunatic conspiracies.

And in 'Murrica!, social media is controlled by independent corporations which are free allow or disallow anyone they want, for pretty much any reason they want.

I'm not sure that "public accommodation" anti-discrimination laws even apply, as the need to sign up and log in may make them legally "private clubs".

That's not why. Their customers are pressuring them to remove his content. It's for profit, and very much a working of the free market.

Remember people talking about how the baker who refused to serve gays would eventually lose customers and go out of business? Same principle. More people want Jones removed than want him around. These companies are just following the majority of customers.
