I know you can get flesh eating diseases from like creeks and rivers and stuff and brain eating amoebas, but can it really eat you that quickly? Note I've never seen the entire movie it grossed me out to much.

I think some strains can kill you within 24 hours of presentation.
It wouldn't be an all body thing though, unless you somehow got it all over your body. Just radiates from the infection area, eventually killing you via sepsis.
